This is an online only auction for a large single owner collection of antique and collectible tools. The Forefathers Tool Museum contains the lifetime collection of Mr. David Peoples from Broadway VA. This collection includes many rare and obscure hand tool tools including a large collection of wrenches, farm tools, planes, nail pullers, saws, hammers, cobblers tools, leather working tools, and much more. In addition we are selling a 1994 Ford Ranger pickup truck with low miles. Almost 2000 tools selling in 1,100 lots August 29 beginning at 5 PM.

This is an online only auction for a large single owner collection of antique and collectible tools. The Forefathers Tool Museum contains the lifetime collection of Mr. David Peoples from Broadway VA. This collection includes many rare and obscure hand tool tools including a large collection of wrenches, farm tools, planes, nail pullers, saws, hammers, cobblers tools, leather working tools, and much more. Mr. Peoples purchased these tools at auctions, stores, and tool shows all over the country. In addition he inherited some of these tools from his father and grandfather - hence the name Forefathers Tool Museum. These tools have been researched, organized, and lovingly cared for.  Now it is time for them to be enjoyed by other people. 

This auction includes almost 2,000 tools selling in 1,100 lots. You will find wrenches of all kinds including monkey wrenches, pipe wrenches, bicycle wrenches, automotive tools and wrenches, adjustable and nut wrenches, implement wrenches, alligator wrenches, buggy wrenches, and combination wrenches. There is also a significant collection of nail pullers, braces, moulding planes, steel planes, levels, hammers, saws, and other carpentry tools. We have farming tools, farriers tools, cobblers tools, coopers tools, blacksmith tools, leatherworking tools, machining tools, kitchen tools, hatchets and axes, along with books and literature. In addition we are selling Mr. People's very well kept 1994 Ford Ranger with less than 100,000 miles.

Preview, Shipping, and Pickup Information:

This is an online only auction which will begin to close on August 29 at 5:00 PM and will close at the rate of 4 lots per minute with a 1 minute auto extend. That means if a bid is placed within the last minute for any lot the time for that lot will be extended for one more minute.

Preview for this auction will be by appointment August 17 and 29 at 231 Eisenhower Dr. Broadway VA. Please call or email us for an appointment.  Pickup is at the same location on Friday and Saturday August 30-31 from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Shipping is available for many items in this auction. Item descriptions will note items that we are not shipping. We use shippingsaint.com to handle our shipping. You will receive a separate invoice for shipping from Shipping Saint. Packaging and handling charges will be $5 for the first lot and $2 per lot thereafter, and shipping will be billed at actual shipping rates from your preferred provider. If you purchase multiple lots, they will be combined for lowest cost shipping. Please keep in mind that shipping for large and heavy items may get expensive.

Terms of the Sale:

Buyers Premium and Sales Tax: The Buyer's Premium of 10% will be added to each successful bid. Virginia Sales Tax of 5.3% will be charged on all items unless the buyer provides a valid sales tax exemption form. Sales tax exemption must be claimed and form presented before payment is made.

Merchandise: All Items Are Sold AS IS, WHERE IS, WITHOUT GUARANTEE. We urge you to examine all items carefully and satisfy yourself as to the condition and bid accordingly. We will not be accepting returns or providing refunds.

Payment: Cash, Credit Card (3% Fee Applies), Wire Transfer, and Good Check are approved methods of payment. This online only auction will require bidders to enter a valid credit card in order to register to bid. When registering to bid, the credit card will be checked for available credit of $100 but the card will not be charged. At the end of the auction all successful bidders will receive an invoice via email and payment can be made online. If payment arrangements are not made by the end of the pickup period then the credit card used for authorization purposes at the time of registration will be charged. All payments whether cash, check, or card must be made before any items are removed from the property.

Bidding: You must be registered to place a bid on an item. By placing a bid, you agree to all the terms and conditions that apply to this auction. All bids are final. We cannot retract or remove a bid. We respect your privacy and that of the other bidders. We will not release your information to anyone without your permission. This is an online only auction. The bidding will begin to close on August 29 at 5:00 PM and close at the rate of 4 lots per minute with a one minute auto extend. This means that if a bid is placed within one minute of the end of the auction the auction for that item will auto extend for an additional minute until no more bids are placed within the last minute.

Shipping: Shipping Is Available At The Buyers Expense For Many Items In This Auction.  If it won't fit in a box we won't ship it. Please Pay Attention To Item Descriptions.

Preview And Pickup: All of the items will be available to preview by appointment August 17 and August 29 from 9 AM to 5 PM in Broadway VA.  Address will be published prior to preview. Please satisfy yourself as to the condition of each item before placing your bids. Pickup time is Friday and Saturday August 30-31 from 9 AM to 6 PM.
