Dorothy Hefner Estate Auction
To settle the estate of the late Dorothy Hefner, we will be selling at online auction the contents of her home at 408 N. Liberty St Bridgewater VA 22812.
This online only auction features many antiques, sporting goods, old toys, lots of carnival and depression glass, art furniture, appliances, lawn and garden items and more.
This is an online only auction which will begin to close on July 27 at 7:00 PM at the rate of 3 lots per minute with a 1 minute auto extend. That means if a bid is placed within the last minute for any lot the time for that lot will be extended for one more minute.
Preview and Pickup Information:
Preview for this auction will be July 27 from 4 PM to 6 PM at 408 N. Liberty St Bridgewater VA or other times by appointment. Pickup is at the same location on Wednesday July 29 from 9 AM to 6 PM. Pickups will be scheduled through signup genius. If you are a winning bidder you will get an email immediately after the auction to sign up for your pickup time.
Shipping is only available for smaller items in this auction. If you are going to need shipping please contact us prior to the end of the auction to make arrangements. Please bring help to assist you in loading your purchases. All Items Are On Ground Floor Level Except Lots 443-451 Which Are In Basement.
Terms of the Sale:
Buyers Premium and Sales Tax: The Buyer's Premium of 13% (3% discount for cash or check) will be added to each successful bid. Virginia Sales Tax of 5.3% will be charged on all items unless the buyer provides a valid sales tax exemption form. Sales tax exemption must be claimed and form presented before payment is made.
Merchandise: All Items Are Sold AS IS, WHERE IS, WITHOUT GUARANTEE. We urge you to examine all items carefully and satisfy yourself as to the condition and bid accordingly. We will not be accepting returns or providing refunds.
Payment: Cash, Credit Card, or Good Check are approved methods of payment. This online only auction will require bidders to enter a valid credit card in order to register to bid. When registering to bid, the credit card will be checked for available credit of $100 but the card will not be charged. At the end of the auction all successful bidders will receive an invoice via email and payment can be made online. If payment arrangements are not made by the end of the pickup period then the credit card used for authorization purposes at the time of registration will be charged. All payments whether cash, check, or card must be made before any items are removed from the property.

Firearms: All Firearms Sales Will Require A Background Check. You Must Be Over 18 To Buy A Rifle Or Shotgun and Over 21 To Buy A Handgun. All Guns Will Need To Be Picked Up At Liberty Arms 1854 East Market St, Harrisonburg VA and a $25 FFL Transfer Fee Paid To Liberty Arms Before Firearm Is Released.
Bidding: You must be registered to place a bid on an item. By placing a bid, you agree to all the terms and conditions that apply to this auction. All bids are final. We cannot retract or remove a bid. We respect your privacy and that of the other bidders. We will not release your information to anyone without your permission. This is an online only auction. The bidding will begin to close on July 27 at 7:00 PM and close at the rate of three lots per minute with a one minute auto extend. This means that if a bid is placed within one minute of the end of the auction the auction for that item will auto extend for an additional minute until no more bids are placed within the last minute.
Shipping: Shipping Will Be Available For Smaller Items In This Auction. If you are needing shipping please contact us prior to the end of the auction to make arrangements.
